10 THINGS I LIKE MOST ABOUT RAMADHAN
1. The morning traffic is slightly clearer compare to normal days. (But the evening traffic was horrendous!!)
2. Get to sample the colorful and variety of kuih-muih at almost every pavement/lorong-lorong, at every corner of the mosque/ offices/ bus station, etc.
3. Get the best spot at mamak shop (meaning, not under a tree - bird droppings accident - proned) during lunch hour.
4. Everything seems to be moving at slower pace, hence, less stressful.
5. The gym is super empty!
6. Reminds me of the Lat, one of my favorite cartoonist and his sketches on the camaraderie of multi-racial Malaysians going through the puasa month.
7. It is easier to book rooms for the weekend getaways during Ramadhan.
8. The repetition of stories about people mistaken me as a Muslim during fasting month, is as hilarious as it was the previous years.
9. Brisk sale of cookies, biscuits and other goodies for Raya in the office.
10. Sight of people burning delicious lemang by the roadside.
Here’s wishing our Muslim friends, Selamat Berpuasa.

Happy Ramadhan Al-Mubarak!
But, I do have a small problem of finding food during lunch ler… I work for an organisation that is 90% Malays…… so, each day means driving out for lunch……
I like your number six…I am a fan of Lat comics… he is so FUNNY ler
And I think you are also funny… ever thought of being an entertainment writer?
Hey, do you only go to Maxis, or you also go to other FF gyms?
By the way, traffic in the evening is chaotic… it took me almost 25 minutes, just to get through Jalan Maarof yesterday…..

Ahh…Puasa, yes the lunch time crowds are not there…but dinner time teruk la, jam is no difference in the morning, but better on evenings, cause early off-time, need to exercise more cause makan banyak.
The past years, I was refused food during lunch time cause I’d look like a malay, so they said, need to prove to them with my IC ler. Cheers!

Don’t you want to do something ’bout #8? Otherwise you’ll eventually have to wear cheongsam to work everyday during the month of Ramadhan :P .

Rijac: I am 100% pure Hokkien Chinese. Ha ha. But a bit tanned so I looked like a Malay. My boss today commented that I don’t look Chinese. Someone once commented I look like a Thai or Vietnamese.
Kit: I am on home membership scheme. Don’t try to look for me coz you could never find me. Ha ha. If you found me, then you kena lottery liao. I am a lazy bum.
cameljoe: I also kena before eating ice cream in public. Ha ha ha. Then, I told those keh poh chee off, “Aku Cina lah, bahlol!!” Ha ha. Damn keh poh.
keatix: The mamak in front of my office open 24 hours. Probably just lack of choices only.
My subordinate – puasa no puasa, standard. Never get things done. Ha ha ha.

Ha ha ha warrior.. just today, the Chinese wireman spoke to me in Malay when he came to fix the lights in my cubicle. I answered him in Cantonese. He then smiled from ear to ear.
