IT IS JUST A NUMBER?

After reading viewtru’s post on aliens pissing on us, I was a bit wary.

He reminded me of this forwarded e-mail I got from Ms Lactose yesterday.

Your birth date describes who we are, what we are good at and what our inborn abilities are. It also points to what we have to learn and the challenges we are facing. To figure out your Birth Number, add all the numbers in the birth date together like in the example until there is only one digit.

A Birth Number does not prevent you from being anything you want to be, it will just color your choice differently and give you a little insight. Once you have discovered your Birth Number, forward this email to the rest of your friends, including the one who sent this to you ...Have fun!

Example : March 20, 1950

3 + 20 + 1950 = 1973 = 1 + 9 + 7 + 3 = 20 = 2 + 0 = 2

2 is the Birth Number to read for the birth date in the example. Your number is _____,

#1 THE ORIGINATOR

#2 THE PEACEMAKER

#3 THE LIFE OF THE PARTY

#4 THE CONSERVATIVE

#5 THE NONCONFORMIST

#6 THE ROMANTIC

#7 THE INTELLECTUAL

#8 THE BIG SHOT

#9 THE PERFORMER

--- message truncated -----

By the way, if you are interested… I am a #3.

# 3 - THE LIFE OF THE PARTY

3's are idealists. They are very creative, social, charming, romantic, and easygoing. They start many things, but don't always see them through. They like others to be happy and go to great lengths to achieve it. They are very popular and idealistic. They should learn to see the world from a more realistic point of view.

Famous 3's: Alan Alda, Ann Landers, Bill Cosby, Melanie Griffith, Salvador Dali, and Jodi Foster.

Usually, I would just follow instructions and then, dismiss it after I got the answer. Out of curiosity, plus having too much time at hand in the office, I re-calculated my birth date using a few different methods. I was bewildered by my findings.

if you ppl notice... no matter how you add up your date of birth, it still adds up to the same number. Kinda scary. It's like pre-destined!

Like mine 14.02.1976

14+2+1976 = 1992 = 1+9+9+2 = 21 = 2+1 = 3
or
1+4+2+1976 = 1983 = 1+9+8+3 = 21 = 3
or
1+4+2+1+9+7+6 = 30 = 3+0= 3
or
14+2+1+9+7+6= 39=3+9=12=1+2=3

HOLY SHIT!!!

Life is full of MYSTERIES & Unsolved questions.

*See. This is an answer of a genius.

Ms Lactose is away in Melaka to answer my mundane question. As for Sekinchan Boy, as usual, does not reply to frivolous e-mails. He only replies to e-mails with key words like “CRABS, LENG LOIS, VIRGIN” - not necessarily in that particular order though.

All of us have a number. And if you may recall, recently, there was this new branding of our local telco, with the saying, “DIRIMU BUKAN SEKADAR NOMBOR".. (Malay: You are not just another number).

Is the third kind trying to tell us something? The truth is out there?

I should stop watching re runs of the X Files.

gina, i used to play this game when i was young.

i will sit beside the road, or well, when i’m in my dad’s car, i’ll look at the cars passing by’s numbers plates and mentally calculate them this way until i get a single number. dunno why, just a compulsion and a hobby of mine.

and i came up with my own “fast” way of calculating it , i think.

first, whenever u see a 9, u can “throw it away” or discard it. if you don’t have a 9, add up a few numbers (can be 2, can be 3… anything) to a total of 9, and then discard it, as in don’t add it to the equation, until u get a single number.

example: 14/02/1976

we discard 9, so left 14/02/176
we add 2+7 = 9 and discard it, so left 14/16
add up all these, 30
finally, 3+0 = 3

another example: 9995

discard all 9, left 5.

don’t believe it? count

another example: 9723

discard 9, discard 7 and 2 coz it adds up to 9, left 3.

voila

# 8 – THE BIG SHOT

8′s are the problem solvers. They are professional, blunt and to the point, have good judgment and are decisive. They have grand plans and like to live the good life. They take charge of people. They view people objectively. They let you know in no uncertain terms that they are the bosses. They should learn to exude their decisions on their own needs rather than on what others want.

Famous 8′s: Edgar Cayce, Barbara Streisand, George Harrison, Jane Fonda, Pablo Picasso, Aretha Franklin, and Nostrodamus.
