LUNCH ACTUALLY
No, this is not a post about the lunch dates.
Nothing beats home cooked food – cook with tender loving care. It is nice not having to think what to eat for lunch. The moment I step into my house for lunch, mom would whip the last dish off the hot wok. I have this privilege to dine at home for lunch as my work place is just 7 minutes drive away.
Anny always asks me on the YM whenever I return from lunch - What did your mom cook today? How is lunch? What did you have for lunch?
Well, this post is dedicated to her to pacify her curiosity.
These are just some pics over the week – not everything is here since my mom would make noise and wave me away whenever I take photographs of her dishes.
Here they are in no particular order:-
From left to right: Stir fried ladies finger in sambal belacan, kam heong crabs, curry fish and vegetable, lotus roots and chicken feet soup, stir fried cabbage with dried shrimps and chicken in oyster sauce and fried ginger. (And I wonder why have I been putting on more weight?)
It's really time consuming - eating crabs. I've never had crabs for office hours' lunch breaks before. Heh!

laymank: Yes – some friends actually asked for the recipe.
vegie: Yeah. All for lunch. Yesterday’s lunch was perfect – we had vegetarian and belacan pork.
stevo: Just put it as, I am someone who enjoy life … through my stomach. Haha!

Greenapple: I asked my mom: For the kam heong crabs – fry both the crabs and the “har mai”. Then, tumis the curry power (with a bit of oil, add some sugar and curry leaves). Pour the crabs over the curry and add har mai. Stir it. Wa La… you have your kam heong crabs in curry. Remember to use either Babas or Alagappas curry powder coz they are the best.
